Transactive Website Privacy Statement

1.         Who we are and the purpose of this Privacy Statement

This privacy statement applies to Transactive SAS, part of the Thomson Legal and Regulatory market group of the Thomson Corporation.

 We take the security and privacy of customer information seriously.  This privacy statement is designed to help you understand how we collect and use your personal data.  This statement will also tell you what safeguards are put in place to protect your data, how you can check the accuracy of the data we hold on you and how you can request that we delete or update the data. 

2.         Collection of information


We collect the personal data of our customers and prospective customers directly from individuals, from third parties (non-Thomson companies) and from public sources.  Personal data we collect may include your: name, place of work, job type, title, business contact information and credit card or other payment details if you are ordering a product or service and have not arranged credit terms with us.

From our Websites

We may collect personal data from you when you use our websites at ("Website").  We only collect personal data that is volunteered by you.

We use your personal data to process orders and transactions you may make with us and for our own internal business purposes.  We also use your personal data to provide you with information about Transactive products and services and for this purpose we may contact you by mail, telephone and/or email.  If you register for our 'Petit Dejeuners' on our Website, we will only use your personal data in order to provide you with details regarding the Petit Dejeuners and not for any other purpose. Similarly if you submit comments or questions to the email addresses on our website, we will only use any personal data you provide in order to respond to you. 


Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties unless we are legally required to do so, (for example: to cooperate with police investigations or other legal proceedings, to limit our legal liability and protect our rights, to protect against misuse or unauthorised use of our Website(s) or to protect the rights and safety of visitors to our Website(s) or the public).  In those instances, any such personal data provided is only provided for that limited purpose.  If you have provided us with credit card or other payment details we will not disclose this information unless legally required to do so.
